First Use Guide Complete!

I got the updated vBooks (videos) uploaded.  There are now four -- Introduction & Architecture, Getting Started, Example 1 - Output = Input, and Example 2 - Spreadsheet.  The vBooks are linked to from the Comet First Use Guide homepage (link at top of blog).  The home page also provides links to the webBook and eBook versions.

The vBooks are all HD 1080p but my experience has been that YouTube would rather show at 720p or lower resolution.  In the lower right portion of the YouTube video window the gear-like options icon lets you set resolution.  I have been most successful at selecting 1080p there and then doing full screen display (lower right corner icon).  If the vBooks look fuzzy to you, it's likely a display resolution issue.

This completes the initial cut and the Comet First Use Guide.

I you you find this both fun and valuable.

webBook/eBook Update 2

I made a second pass at the webBook/eBook update because when starting to work on videos I discovered screenshot resolution was not what it needed to be.  This pass resolves that issue so now I can work on video update.

webBook/eBook Update

I updated the webBook and eBook adding a spreadsheet example and tweaking earlier work a bit. I am currently working on the videos for the new state of the this Legume.  The video out there is useful, but a bit inconsistent with the webBook/eBook update.

Initial Release

I have completed the first pass of the Comet First Use Guide.  This contains introductory material and Example 1, simple output = input process, where you learn the basics of working in Comet.  I am working on the second example that simulates a cantilevered beam.  I hope you enjoy the Comet First Use Guide and find it valuable.
